The Getty, a globally renowned center of the arts based in Los Angeles, is anchored in J. Paul Getty's belief that art is a civilizing force in society. This rebrand aims to shift the spotlight towards the Getty Research and Conservation Institute.

Identity System
Inspired by the golden ratio, a fundamental structure in art, nature, mathematics, and science, I designed a new identity system that marries heritage, art, and coding, symbolizing The Getty's commitment to preserving the past and embracing the future of art. This approach resonates deeply with J. Paul Getty's belief of art as a fundamental pillar of society.

Typeface
The geometric sans-serif modular logotype draws directly from the architecture of The Getty Center, balancing the prestige of the Getty with a fresh, modern look. Designing a modular typeface enabled me to create patterns and typographic elements that I could apply to posters and website.
